Positive: We had an absolutely wonderful stay at SakuraPiso and felt truly welcomed from the moment we arrived until the very end. This stay perfectly reflected the warmth of Kagoshima and its people. The apartment was incredibly spacious for our group of three. We particularly loved the authentic experience of sleeping on the tatami mats and gathering around the small table for meals. It felt very cozy and traditional. The kitchen was well-equipped enough for us to do some basic cooking, which was a great convenience. A personal highlight for me was the shower—it was very spacious and had a unique retro vibe that I really enjoyed! Location-wise, the apartment is tucked away in a beautiful corner right across from a green space. While it is super close to the city center, it’s about a 10-minute walk away, which means it remains beautifully quiet and peaceful. If you are looking for a place that combines local charm with a kind, attentive host, I cannot recommend SakuraPiso enough. We left feeling like we had experienced the true heart of Kagoshima!
